Impasse

A poem of despair

How can you see the color

In everything but me?

You express your own emotions

In brilliant poetry

My pain too small to notice

Until I bend and crack

The white knight out of nowhere

Suddenly is black

You’d care if you could see it

I know this much is true

But you can’t hear unless I scream

And you’d punch me if I do
